We all hear stories of serial killers, paedophiles, kidnappers but never think it could happen to us or ones we love...unfortunately it happened to someone I love
My cousin went to our family reunion last weekend.
I stayed home cause I didn't feel like making the long drive to Florida.
Honestly after what almost happened to her I wish I would have went.
She said it was around 2am and she was sleepy so she stopped at a rest station for a quick nap.
The rest station she stopped at was empty no cars in site.
She goes to sleep now she drives a mini van so she had bought some curtains for it.
Anyway between 3 and 3:30 she says there was a knock at the door saying he was a cop could she step out the car.
Apparently the guy said there was a serial killer on the loose....now my cousin isn't a fool.
She said she peeked from behind the curtain saw flashing lights but the guy wasn't in uniform.
She played it smart and says she has a gun "which she doesn't" and is a sheriff herself "she's not"
But it worked cause the guy said sorry for bothering u and runs back to his car
What scared her tho is as she was peeking out her window a few mins later a guy runs from behind the bushes and gets in the car before it pulls off......
I'm honestly grateful she's a quick thinker cause there's no telling what they would have done to her
This thread isn't abt accidents that almost happened but actually running into people who had terrible intentions for you or someone you know....hopefully my cousins story can be a warning for people to be more cautions
