Oxford man dies in car crash after Confederate Flag rally

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - An Oxford, Mississippi man died in a car crash Sunday while on his way back from a Confederate Flag rally in Alabama.
Anthony Hervey, 49, has been well-known in Oxford for several decades.
He died when his 2005 Ford Explorer flipped over near the Pontotoc County line just before noon Sunday.
The Clarion Ledger reports Hervey and his passenger were on the way home from a Confederate Flag rally. Hervey's passenger survived the crash.
Hervey is the author of "Why I wave the Confederate Flag: Written by a Black Man."
