Prince George's County police officer was shot and critically injured outside a police station in Landover on Sunday, officials said.
Police have not caught a shooter, and they asked anyone who lives in the Palmer Park or Landover areas near Route 202 to shelter in place just after 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
The shooting happened just outside the Police Department's District III Station, at 7600 Barlowe Road, near headquarters, police said.
Traffic was halted on Route 202 from Martin Luther King Jr. Highway to Interstate 495 while police searched for the shooter. Delays were also reported both ways from St. Barnabas Road to Baltimore-Washington Parkway.
